Police in Phuket are investigating the death of a 28‑year‑old Irish national whose body was discovered floating in a lagoon in the Cherng Talay area of Thalang.
Authorities from Cherng Talay Police Station received a report of a body found in the Laguna lagoon, Moo 6, Cherng Talay Subdistrict. Officers, accompanied by forensic investigators, a medical examiner, and members of the Kusoldharm Foundation, arrived at the scene to recover the body.
The deceased was identified as Mr. Scott John Revie Little, 28, from Ireland. His body was brought ashore for an initial examination before being sent for autopsy. Police investigators are now gathering evidence, reviewing CCTV footage in the vicinity, and interviewing witnesses to determine the circumstances leading to his death.
Officials have notified the Irish Embassy in Bangkok to inform the victim’s family and assist with arrangements for repatriation and religious rites.
At present, the exact cause of death remains under investigation pending further forensic results. Authorities emphasized that a full inquiry is underway to establish the facts surrounding the incident.
