A fire broke out early this morning (August 3rd) at a three‑story restaurant building in Kata, but was quickly brought under control by local emergency crews. Authorities confirmed that no injuries or fatalities occurred.
Firefighters told the Phuket Express that the blaze erupted around 7:00 a.m. at a restaurant located beside a hotel. Firefighters from the Karon Subdistrict Administrative Organization, supported by water trucks and fire engines, rushed to the scene.
By approximately 7:45 a.m., officials had successfully contained the flames, preventing them from spreading to neighboring structures.
Initial reports indicate no casualties. The cause of the fire and the extent of property damage remain under investigation by relevant agencies.
