Phuket officially opened its doors to a dazzling new celebration last night as the Phuket Parkland & Music Fest 2026 launched at the Phuket Gateway in Mai Khao, Thalang. The three-day festival, running from July 24–26, transforms the provincial landmark into a vibrant “Candy Land” under the whimsical theme “Sugar Candy.”
At 7:00 p.m., Governor Chotnarin Kerdsom presided over the opening ceremony, joined by Rewat Areerob, President of the Phuket Provincial Administrative Organization (PPAO), and MP Orathai Kerdsap, who attended as guests of honor. Local leaders also played a prominent role: Sarawut Srisakukam, Mayor of Mai Khao Subdistrict Administrative Organization, delegated Deputy Mayor Wasawat Hongsasupasukul to deliver a warm welcome to attendees. Village headman Worawit Srisakukam, along with PPAO executives, council members, and senior officials, joined the festivities alongside distinguished guests.
This year’s edition promises a feast for the senses. The PPAO has reimagined Phuket Gateway as a fantastical world of sweets, colors, and imagination. Visitors are invited to immerse themselves in a lively blend of music, art, culture, and lifestyle experiences designed to spark joy and creativity. Beyond entertainment, the festival wants to stimulate the local economy, boost tourism, and showcase Phuket as a destination that thrives on innovation and cultural vibrancy.
