Police Nab Suspect for Nighttime Boat Thefts, Drugs Found in Possession

Phuket –

Marine Police have arrested a man identified as “Mr. Sifi” after an investigation revealed his involvement in a string of thefts along the Tha Chin Canal.

The suspect allegedly used a small rowing boat to prowl the area at night, stealing equipment and valuables from vessels moored along the waterway. His actions caused significant distress to boat owners in the community. During the arrest operation, officers conducted a search and discovered illegal narcotics in the suspect’s possession. Preliminary testing further confirmed that he had consumed drugs. As a result, authorities filed additional charges.

The suspect now faces multiple allegations, including:

  • Theft committed at night
  • Possession of illegal narcotics
  • Consumption of narcotics

Following the arrest, police escorted the suspect and seized evidence to the investigating officers for legal proceedings. Authorities added that the case shows their commitment to protecting local communities from both property crime and drug-related offenses.
