Illegal Food Delivery Rider From Myanmar Arrested in Phuket

Phuket –

Tourist Police in Phuket have intensified enforcement against foreign nationals working illegally, arresting a Myanmar man for operating as a food delivery rider without proper authorization.

At approximately 2:10 p.m. on Wednesday (July 15th) the Phuket Tourist Police detained the suspect. The arrest was made on charges of “being a foreigner working outside the rights granted” in violation of the Royal Decree on the Management of Foreign Workers (2017).

Authorities reported that the man had been working as a motorcycle food delivery driver, a job restricted under Thai labor law for foreign nationals without the appropriate permits. Officers documented the arrest and transferred the suspect to investigators for legal proceedings.
