Overstaying Moroccan Female Arrested with Cocaine in Patong

Patong Police have arrested a female Moroccan suspect with cocaine in Patong as they intensified its anti-drug campaign under the banner of Operation 90 Days. She was also found to have overstayed her visa.

The Patong Police told the Phuket Express that they arrested Ms. Fatima, a 27-year-old Moroccan national. Officers apprehended her inside a residence on Phra Metta Road. Seized from her was one packet of cocaine weighing approximately 1.38 grams of cocaine.

Authorities charged her with possession of a Category 2 narcotic (cocaine) without authorization. In addition, she faces immigration-related charges for overstaying her permitted entry into the Kingdom of Thailand. The exact length of overstay wasn’t released.
