Phuket Governor Chotinarin Kerdsom has urged hotel and entertainment venue operators without licenses or still in the licensing process to seek consultation and submit their applications by July 2, 2026, to enter legal business operations.
The governor stated that this measure aligns with the Ministry of Interior and Department of Provincial Administration policies to support operators, address legal challenges, and promote lawful, transparent, and fair business practices.
The initiative includes a consultation and complaint center, as well as license application clinics, to assist hotel and entertainment venue operators with licensing matters. Operators can access guidance, report issues, submit applications, and receive advice from relevant agencies through a one-stop service.
The governor encourages operators who have not yet used the service to do so on July 2, the final day, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Consultations and complaints are available at the Royal Phuket City Hotel center. License applications should be submitted at the Mueang Phuket, Kathu, or Thalang district offices, depending on business location.
He emphasized that consultation, registration, and application submission do not guarantee immediate license approval. These steps allow operators to enter the government review process, enabling officials to verify documents, provide guidance, address deficiencies, and identify legal or regulatory challenges.
The governor stated that integrating operators into the legal system will raise business standards, increase tourist confidence, enhance Phuket’s competitiveness, and support sustainable tourism and economic growth.
