Phuket –
A coordinated anti-drug operation has resulted in the arrest of three suspects and the seizure of narcotics and assets valued at more than 300,000 baht.
The operation began with a formal assembly of more than 50 officers at Chalong Police Station. The gathering was presided over by Pol. Lt. Col. Kittikhun Puangnakphan, a narcotics suppression expert with ONCB Region 8, who stressed the importance of unity and readiness in tackling drug-related crime in the community.
Following the briefing, officers moved to secure two targeted locations within Chalong’s jurisdiction. The raids led to the arrest of three individuals and the confiscation of illicit substances including 119.3 grams of crystal methamphetamine (ice) and 15 methamphetamine tablets (yaba).

Authorities charged the suspects with possession and distribution of Category 1 narcotics without authorization, offenses deemed to contribute to drug trafficking and community harm. The suspects were also charged with consumption of methamphetamine in violation of Thai law. They were subsequently transferred to Chalong Police Station for further investigation and prosecution.

In addition to narcotics, officers seized assets believed to be linked to drug trafficking activities. The confiscated property included a Honda CB650F motorcycle, four electric guitars, one computer, and a PlayStation gaming console, with an estimated combined value exceeding 300,000 baht. These items will undergo examination and legal proceedings under Thailand’s anti-narcotics asset forfeiture laws.
