Kazakh Woman’s Erratic Driving Sparks Police Chase and Collisions with Two People Injured and Vehicle Damages in Thalang-VIDEOS

Thalang –

Phuket police are investigating an incident involving a femal Kazakh national whose erratic driving led to a chase, a collision, and multiple injuries.

The Thalang Police told the Phuekt Express that at about 8 P.M. on Saturday night (June 20th), motorists reported a silver MG sedan parked with hazard lights on for over 20 minutes at a U-turn near an intersection in Mai Khao on the Thepkasattri Road. The driver, later identified only as Ms. Jamila, 30, from Kazakhstan, refused to exit her vehicle, raising public concern. Officers from Tha Chatchai Police Station attempted to approach and negotiate, but the woman suddenly sped away.

Authorities coordinated with Thalang Police and other units to track the vehicle for nearly four hours. The pursuit ended at an intersection locally known as the old airport road intersection in Mai Khao, where the car collided with a van and a motorcycle. Two people, including the suspect, sustained injuries and were rushed to Thalang Hospital.

Police confirmed Jamila faces charges of reckless driving causing injury and property damage. Investigators are also reviewing her history, as she had previously caused disruption at Phuket International Airport on June 18th. On that occasion, she parked a Mazda sedan blocking traffic at the airport’s parking facility, reportedly due to emotional distress linked to personal relationship issues. Officers had then calmed her and ensured her safety.

Colonel Kundech Na Nongkhai, Superintendent of Tha Chatchai Police, stated that the latest incident escalated dangerously, requiring strict legal action. Colonel Salan Santisasanakul of Sakhu Police added that her repeated behavior highlights deeper personal struggles, which authorities are examining alongside the criminal proceedings.
