In his place, Chotinrin Kerdsom, currently serving as Deputy Permanent Secretary, has been appointed as the new Governor of Phuket.
The abrupt move follows escalating tensions among senior Interior Ministry officials in Phuket. Just a day earlier, on June 15th, the ministry ordered the transfer of two deputy governors from Phuket to other provinces, citing internal disputes that had disrupted administrative cohesion in the region.
