Phuket –
The Ministry of the Interior has issued an urgent order reassigning five deputy governors across multiple provinces, including two from Phuket. The directive dated June 15, mandates that all officials assume their new posts on June 16th.
Among the notable changes:
- Teerapong Chuaychu, widely known as “Deputy Kung”, Deputy Governor of Phuket, has been reassigned to Nakhon Si Thammarat.
- Pol. Lt. Col. Khetarat Chansilp, Deputy Governor of Samut Sakhon, will take up the role in Phuket.
- Adul Chuthong, also known locally as “Deputy Dul”, Deputy Governor of Phuket, has been transferred to Songkhla.
- Romdon Hayae-ae, Deputy Governor of Songkhla, will move to Phuket.
The reshuffle, effective immediately, requires all five officials to report to their new provinces on June 16. The sudden transfers have drawn attention in Phuket, where both Deputy Governors Teerapong and Adul are being relocated simultaneously, signaling a significant change in the province’s administrative leadership.
