Phuket –
The Phuket Pride Festival 2026 launched on June 7, 2026, with a massive, colorful parade through Patong Beach and Bangla Road to celebrate equality, human rights, and gender diversity while positioning Phuket as a premier global Pride City.
Acting Phuket Provincial Chief Administration Officer Naphat Em-on and Ministry of Social Development and Human Security Advisor Anekchai Rueangrattanakorn joined Patong Mayor Lalita Maneesri to lead the parade. The event drew large crowds of local residents, international tourists, and LGBTQIAN+ community members, all gathered to advocate for human dignity, mutual respect, and societal inclusion.
The parade advanced along Patong beachfront road before entering Bangla Road, transforming the heart of Phuket’s tourism hub into a vibrant celebration of equality. Provincial authorities emphasized that the festival underscores Phuket’s long-standing policy of championing equity and of remaining an open, safe, and inclusive world-class destination that welcomes all visitors, regardless of nationality, culture, religion, or gender identity.
Organized under the theme Be Loud, Be Proud, Be You, the Phuket Pride Festival 2026 serves as a key initiative to advance local human rights frameworks. By hosting the annual celebration, provincial authorities and civic networks intend to cement Phuket’s standing within the international Pride City Network, demonstrating a unified public-private commitment to sustainable social equality and diverse economic growth.
