A special operations carried out a successful drug suppression operation in the heart of Phuket Town, arresting a 44‑year‑old woman in possession of methamphetamine and crystal meth.
The operation was conducted under the direction of Phuket Governor Nirut Pongsitthathorn, Deputy Governor Adul Chuthong, and Acting Provincial Chief Officer Naphat Em‑on, with oversight from the Department of Provincial Administration.
Authorities intercepted the suspect, identified only as Ms. A (alias), along Phunphol Road in Talad Nuea subdistrict. Seized evidence included approximately 26.7 grams of crystal methamphetamine and 19 methamphetamine tablets.
Following the arrest, officers expanded the investigation by searching the suspect’s residence on Montri Road in Talad Yai, where additional evidence was collected.
The suspect was taken to the Phuket Provincial Administration Office (Security Division) for initial processing before being handed over to investigators at Phuket City Police Station. She faces charges of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine (both crystal meth and tablets) and illegal drug use.
