Police patrol officers in Koh Kaew arrested two men suspected of stealing electrical wiring from the construction site of the new Provincial Electricity Authority office at Laem Hin. The arrests took place after security guards reported suspicious activity inside the unfinished building.
The Phuket City Police told the Phuket Express that officers responded to the scene. Upon entering the third floor of the building, officers discovered Mr. Narit, 36, dismantling electrical wiring. He carried a black leather shoulder bag containing orange cables and several cutting tools. He was immediately detained.

Meanwhile, security guards alerted police to another suspect fleeing from the rear of the building. Officers pursued and apprehended Mr. Somsak, 56, who was found carrying a flashlight, a voltage tester screwdriver, and a bidet spray head in his trouser pocket.
Both men were taken into custody along with seized evidence, which included:
- Orange electrical wiring
- Seven cutting tools (pliers, screwdrivers, wrenches)
- A black leather shoulder bag
- Flashlight and voltage tester
- Bidet spray head

Police charged both suspects with joint theft of property belonging to others. In addition, Mr. Narit faces charges of illegal use of methamphetamine (yaba), while Mr. Somsak faces charges of illegal use of methamphetamine (ice).
Authorities said that the suspects are currently considered accused persons and remain under investigation. Their guilt or innocence will be determined through the judicial process.
