Phuket —
A tense incident took place in a local Phuket community when a foreign man was found loitering, shouting, and causing problems outside a private residence, refusing to leave despite repeated requests from the homeowner. The same shirtless foreign man was involved in prior altercations and problems, say police, at local convenience stores and a Muay Thai gym. The unsettling encounter, shared widely on social media, has caused public concern over safety in tourist-heavy areas.
A Facebook user, Kim-Kat Kapyatorn, posted video clips and photos showing the man seated at the entrance of her home. According to her account, the individual attempted to bang on the door, wandered around the property, and appeared to reach for items left outside. The family, feeling unsafe, contacted authorities after their attempts to persuade him to leave failed.
Police officers arrived at the scene to assess the situation. Reports suggest that staff from a nearby convenience store had earlier alerted authorities after the same man caused disturbances in the area.

Witnesses described him as shirtless, climbing fences, shouting, and allegedly attempting to enter homes, behavior that fueled speculation he might have been under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
On the next day the Chalong Police was called to the famous Muay Thai street in Soi Ta-ied where the same man caused a public nuisance again.

The incident quickly gained traction online, with many residents voicing concerns about the growing number of disruptive cases involving foreign visitors. Commentators pointed to recurring problems such as public disorder, fights, and disregard for local laws, urging the government to tighten screening and monitoring of incoming travelers.
The debate has also reignited criticism of Thailand’s visa-free entry policies, with skeptics questioning whether current safeguards are sufficient to protect communities in the long term. While officials have previously announced stricter oversight measures, public confidence remains mixed.
As of now, police have not released an official statement regarding the man’s identity, condition, or the outcome of their intervention.
