Phuket —
Officials from Sirinat National Park rushed to investigate after receiving reports of a mysterious marine animal carcass washed ashore near a beachfront hotel in Cherng Talay.

Assistant Park Chief Ms. Karnikar Wongmit told the Phuket Express that this week they inspected the site and coordinated the removal of the remains from the beach. The incident prompted immediate teamwork with the Upper Andaman Marine and Coastal Resources Research Center (AMCRC).

Specialists from the AMCRC collected samples from the carcass for further examination to determine the species and possible cause of death. Authorities explained that such investigations are crucial for monitoring the health of marine ecosystems and identifying potential threats to local biodiversity.
