Search for Missing Toddler in Phang Nga Enters Third Day

Phang Nga —

Rescue teams and local volunteers have been working tirelessly for more than two days to locate a two‑year‑old Myanmar girl who went missing from her family’s home near Wat Suan Wang in Kuraburi.

The child, dressed in a pink shirt and blue shoes, was last seen on the morning of May 28th, 2026. Authorities quickly mobilized, establishing a command center and coordinating search operations across the forested area behind the temple. Teams of officials, volunteers, and villagers combed the terrain day and night, determined to find any trace of the toddler.

On May 29th, searchers discovered one of the girl’s shoes in the forest, sparking renewed hope that she might still be nearby. However, despite intensive efforts, no further signs of her whereabouts have been found.

At 12:15 a.m. on May 30, officials announced a temporary suspension of the search after continuous operations stretched into the night. The mission is expected to resume later in the morning with reassessment and new strategies.

As of now, the young girl remains missing, and the community continues to rally around the search effort, holding onto hope for her safe return.
