Tourist Caught Riding on Patong Beach Without License, Motorbike Seized

Patong –

Patong police have seized a motorcycle and launched legal proceedings after a tourist was found riding without a valid driver’s license along the beachfront.

The Patong Police told the Phuket Express on May 27th about the incident. A patrol unit spotted the tourist operating a motorcycle near the beach at night time. Upon inspection, the rider was unable to present a driver’s license. Authorities immediately initiated legal action in line with Thai traffic laws and impounded the vehicle.

Police confirmed that the case will not only proceed against the tourist but also extend to the motorcycle’s owner. The owner faces charges for allegedly allowing an unlicensed individual to operate their vehicle, a violation that carries legal consequences under Thai law.
