Young Australian Found Dead in Phuket Condo, White Powder Seized for Testing

Phuket –

Police in Phuket are investigating the sudden death of a 27‑year‑old Australian man discovered inside a luxury condominium in Karon.

The Karon Police told the Phuket Express that they received a report of a foreigner found lifeless in his room. Officers rushed to the scene where the man’s body was found lying on the floor.

Condo staff told police they last saw the victim shortly after midnight on May 19th. When he failed to reappear, the unit owner was contacted to unlock the room, revealing the man’s death.

Initial examination showed no signs of struggle or physical assault. However, investigators discovered a plate containing a white powder near the body. The substance has been collected for forensic analysis.

Police forensic teams, together with doctors from Vachira Phuket Hospital, conducted an autopsy and are working to determine the exact cause of death. The Australian Embassy has been notified to assist with formalities and support for the deceased’s family. Authorities have not ruled out any possibilities, and the case remains under investigation.
