Phuket City police arrested an 18-year-old man early Wednesday morning after discovering a firearm and ammunition during a routine checkpoint operation in Rassada.

The Phuket City Police told the Phuket Express that between 1:00 and 2:00 a.m. on May 14, officers conducted a stop-and-search operation along Ruam Pattana Road. During the checkpoint, police inspected 30 individuals, 10 cars, and 20 motorcycles. One suspect, identified as Mr. Nat, 18, was found carrying a modified blank gun along with 11 rounds of .380 caliber ammunition. He was taken into custody and a formal arrest record was prepared.
