Late-Night Fire Forces Tourists to Flee Patong Lodgings

Patong—

Panic erupted in the early hours when a fire broke out at a commercial building that had been converted into guest accommodations along Patong’s Sai Kor Road, near the Nam Sia alley entrance.

According to initial reports, flames and thick smoke spread rapidly through the structure, forcing residents and tourists to scramble for safety. Witnesses described chaotic scenes as some occupants climbed out of windows to escape, while others rushed down stairwells amid the confusion.

Firefighters and rescue teams arrived swiftly to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to adjacent buildings. Their efforts managed to bring the situation under control before dawn.

Authorities confirmed that, as of now, no injuries or fatalities have been reported. The exact cause of the fire remains under investigation, with officials conducting a detailed inspection of the site.
