Phuket, Thailand — May 13, 2026
Police in Chalong, working with the Phuket Provincial Office of Social Development and Human Security, rescued a 16‑year‑old girl from a massage parlor in Rawai that was allegedly operating as a front for child prostitution.

Authorities arrested the parlor’s owner, identified only as Ms. May (alias), along with a 40‑year‑old masseuse, Ms. Nid (alias). The teenager, Ms. New (alias), was immediately placed under state protection and entered into Thailand’s official victim identification process for human trafficking cases.

Investigators revealed that the establishment offered “special massage services” to foreign customers, charging 1,500 baht per hour. Undercover officers confirmed that minors were being coerced into providing sexual services. Police later filed six serious charges against the owner under Thailand’s Anti‑Human Trafficking Act and Anti‑Prostitution Act.

Officials stated that exploiting minors for sexual services carries severe penalties: prison terms ranging from six to fifteen years, fines between 600,000 and 1.5 million baht, and in extreme cases, life imprisonment.

The Chalong Police Station issued a stern warning to massage parlors and entertainment venues across Phuket: employing anyone under 18 for sexual exploitation is strictly prohibited and will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
