Authorities in Thalang have intensified enforcement against narcotics and illegal weapons, arresting three suspects in separate cases as part of a nationwide campaign to restore social order under the Ministry of Interior’s directive.
District officials Wisut Romintorn and Chaiporn Yangjeen, both serving as narcotics suppression officers told the Phuket Express that this week they arrested three suspects in three different cases.
A man identified as “Mr. A” was arrested in Thepkrasattri. Officers seized:
- 825 methamphetamine pills
- 12.25 grams of crystal methamphetamine
- Packaging materials and a digital scale
He faces charges of possession with intent to sell methamphetamine and crystal meth, as well as illegal drug use.
“Mr. B,” also from Thepkrasattri was found with:
- 15 methamphetamine pills
- 9.77 grams of crystal methamphetamine
- Packaging materials, a digital scale, and drug‑taking equipment
He is charged with possession and attempted distribution of narcotics, drug use, and driving under the influence of methamphetamine.
In Srisunthorn Subdistrict, “Mr. C” was arrested with:
- A .38 caliber revolver
- Two rounds of ammunition
- A black leather holster
He faces charges of illegal possession of firearms and ammunition without a license, along with drug use.
All suspects were transferred to Thalang Police Station for further investigation and prosecution.
