Phuket –
Officials have raided a shop in the Rassada after receiving multiple complaints of illegal sales of e‑cigarettes and untaxed tobacco products near a local school.

The operation followed a week‑long surveillance effort prompted by tips from local news pages and community reports. While the initially suspected shop was found closed, further investigation revealed that a nearby grocery store, known as “M Shop Kuku,” was allegedly selling vaping devices and kratom‑based drinks.

At approximately 6:30 p.m., District Chief Siwatch Ruwangkul led a special task force to the site in Moo 3, Kuku Village. Authorities seized significant contraband, including:
- 42 units of Salt Hub e‑cigarettes (9,000 puffs each)
- 100 packs of John BLACK cigarettes without tax stamps
- One QR code payment sign used for transactions
The suspect was taken into custody and the evidence handed over to investigators for prosecution. Officials explained that the crackdown is part of ongoing efforts to eliminate illegal substances and maintain public order in Phuket.
