Phuket –
Thai police have arrested two Kyrgyz nationals wanted on Interpol red notices for a brutal kidnapping and murder in Kyrgyzstan. The suspects, identified as Mr. Aiat, 26, and Mr. Adilet, 26, were apprehended at a hotel in Patong, Kathu District, Phuket.
The Central Investigation Bureau told the Phuket Express that they worked in coordination with Phuket Immigration Police and carried out the arrest.
Authorities in Kyrgyzstan allege that on April 11th, 2026, the two men abducted and murdered a victim identified as Mr. Jiang, before disposing of his body in a mountain gorge in Archa Forest, Alamudun District, Chuy Province. Following the crime, the suspects fled to Thailand and attempted to hide in Phuket.

Interpol issued red notices for both men on charges of kidnapping, unlawful detention and assault leading to death, and murder. Thai investigators, acting on intelligence shared through international police cooperation, tracked the suspects to their hotel and moved in to detain them.
During questioning, both suspects denied all allegations. Immigration authorities have revoked their permission to remain in Thailand, and preparations are underway to deport them back to Kyrgyzstan, where they will face prosecution.
