Patong –
A violent altercation erupted during Songkran festivities in Patong when two French nationals allegedly attacked a Thai man after being told not to spray water. The incident occurred at approximately 3:30 p.m. and left the victim bloodied and injured.
The Patong Police told the Phuket Express that the assault was reported under case record number 53 dated April 13tg, 2026. Investigators quickly tracked down and detained two suspects identified as Mr. Bouboune and Mr. Heraoui, both French citizens. The men were taken into custody for questioning and formal record-keeping.

The victim, whose identity has not been disclosed, was escorted to meet with investigators to provide testimony.
