A special operations team carried out a surprise inspection of a spa in Wichit where they seized crystal methamphetamine (“ice”) weighing 46.09 grams.
Officials told the Phuket Express that the task force was checking licenses and compliance standards when officers noticed a black shoulder bag left unattended near the premises. No one claimed ownership, prompting an immediate search of the bag and surrounding area.
Inside, authorities discovered a quantity of illicit substances. A field test conducted with the ONCB Marquis Reagent confirmed the contents to be crystal methamphetamine (“ice”) weighing 46.09 grams. The drugs were seized as evidence.
The confiscated narcotics were delivered to investigators at Wichit Police Station for further legal proceedings. Officials stressed that the raid reflects Phuket’s commitment to cracking down on illegal activities, safeguarding public safety, and ensuring that businesses operate transparently under the law.
