Authorities in Phuket have arrested a 50‑year‑old man accused of shooting a co‑worker inside the warehouse of a major retail and wholesale chain. The suspect, identified only as Mr. Koi, was taken into custody after fleeing the scene and hiding in a small hotel in Phuket Town on Tuesday (April 7th).

The Phuket City Police told the Phuket Express that investigators quickly launched a manhunt, and by the following afternoon, acting on tips from local residents, police tracked him to a budget hotel on Kra Road in Talad Yai. Officers from Phuket City Police and the Provincial Investigation Division arrested him without resistance.
During questioning, the suspect confessed to the crime, telling investigators that long‑standing disputes with his colleague had escalated into uncontrollable anger. Police recovered the revolver used in the attack along with 25 rounds of ammunition.
Mr. Koi now faces multiple charges, including attempted murder, illegal possession of a firearm, carrying a weapon in public without authorization, and discharging a firearm in a populated area. Police have confirmed that the case will be pursued fully under Thai law, with investigators continuing to examine the motive and circumstances surrounding the attack.
Officials added that justice will be served fairly for both parties involved.
