Phuket —

Police in Phuket have intensified their campaign against narcotics, arresting a man in possession of a massive haul of methamphetamine tablets in Tha Chatchai.

Police told the Phuket Express that this week, a special operations team apprehended the suspect, identified only as Mr. A, along with 10,000 methamphetamine pills packaged in 50 bags. Officers also seized a motorcycle and a purple iPhone 15 Pro Max believed to have been used in connection with the crime.

Authorities charged the suspect with multiple offenses, including:

  • Possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell and attempted distribution
  • Illegal consumption of methamphetamine
  • Driving under the influence of methamphetamine

The suspect and all confiscated evidence were transferred to Tha Chatchai Police Station for further investigation and prosecution.

Officials stated that the operation reflects Phuket’s determination to curb drug trafficking and protect public safety, warning that narcotics offenses will be pursued vigorously under the law.
