Phuket—
District officials in Phuket launched a late-night raid on an unlicensed entertainment venue in the heart of the city after social media complaints alleged the establishment was operating until dawn.
The operation was carried out under the direction of Phuket Governor Nirut Pongsitthithavorn, Deputy Governor Adul Chuthong, Provincial Clerk Rungreung Thimabutr, and Muang Phuket District Chief Siwatch Rawangkul.

Leading the enforcement team was Akara Suwattikul, Chief Administrative Officer, accompanied by district officers Hirun Heedchan and Thiti Boonyasthian, along with members of the Volunteer Defense Corps.
The venue, located near Soi Phunphol in Talad Nuea, Muang Phuket, had been flagged on Facebook by the page “Sut Jad Palad Bok”, prompting officials to investigate. Authorities confirmed the venue was operating beyond legal hours and offering food, alcohol, and live entertainment without proper licensing.

A 47-year-old man identified as the caretaker of the establishment was arrested at the scene. Four items of evidence were seized. He now faces charges under the Entertainment Venue Act B.E. 2509 (1966) and its amendments for operating a service establishment without authorization and remaining open past midnight.
The suspect and seized evidence were handed over to investigators at Muang Phuket Police Station for further legal proceedings. Officials explained that the crackdown was focused on preserving public order, morality, and community safety.
