Phuket Flights and Passenger Numbers Hit Eight-Year High

Phuket –

Phuket province has posted its highest flight and passenger figures in eight years, surpassing pre-pandemic levels and signaling sustained tourism recovery in early 2026. The latest data further proves the island’s role as one of Thailand’s main international gateways.

As of February 14, 2026, Phuket recorded 393 flight movements in a single day, exceeding 2019 levels. The total included 247 international flights and 146 domestic flights. Passenger traffic reached 71,613, comprising 48,582 international travelers and 23,031 domestic passengers.

Provincial officials said the surge reaffirms continued economic recovery and renewed traveler confidence. Authorities added that the southern province, led by Governor Nirat Phongsitthithavorn, remains prepared to accommodate growing visitor numbers as global tourism demand increases.
