Officials inspected Patong Beach following reports of algae accumulation along the shoreline this week.
The inspection team, joined by staff from Patong Municipality’s Division of Public Health and Environment, monitored ongoing cleanup operations carried out by municipal sanitation workers. The effort focused on collecting and removing algae to restore the beach’s cleanliness and appeal.

The operation received strong support from local business operators, including members of the beach massage enterprise, the community umbrella and sunbed group, the beach cooler vendors, and the Patong Jet Ski Club. Their cooperation helped accelerate the cleanup and demonstrated a shared commitment to maintaining the beach’s reputation as a world-class tourist destination.

Patong Municipality expressed gratitude to all stakeholders for their collaboration and pledged to continue monitoring the situation closely. Authorities emphasized that sustained action will be taken to preserve cleanliness, orderliness, and the positive image of Patong Beach as a premier attraction for both domestic and international visitors.
