Phuket International Airport welcomed the Year of the Dragon with a Lunar New Year celebration, delighting passengers from around the world with cultural performances, festive decorations, and special souvenirs.

The event was officially opened by Mr. Montchai Tahnod, Director of Phuket International Airport, who presided over the ceremony at the international terminal. Airport executives, staff, and both Thai and international passengers joined in the lively festivities.

Festive Highlights

• Decorative Chinese New Year Pavilion: The terminal was adorned with auspicious symbols and traditional red-and-gold motifs, creating an atmosphere of joy, prosperity, and good fortune.

• Cultural Performances: Four traditional Chinese shows captivated travelers, showcasing the deep cultural ties between Thailand and China while reinforcing Phuket’s role as a gateway to the Andaman region.

• Souvenir Giveaway: Following the performances, Mr. Tahnod and his team paraded through the terminal, distributing 500 commemorative gifts to passengers, sparking smiles and memorable travel moments.
