Now for the update:
Authorities believe the shipment was intended for distribution among tourists and was linked to the same network.
They first obtained intelligence about foreign nationals distributing cocaine in entertainment venues and tourist hotspots. After gathering sufficient evidence, officers secured a court warrant and arrested a Nigerian suspect, using the case as a springboard to expand their probe into the wider network.

On the night of February 17, 2026, at around 10:30 p.m., they raided entertainment venues along Bangla Road in Patong, a world-famous nightlife hub. Two more suspects were apprehended: one Nigerian national found in possession of approximately one gram of cocaine, and another foreign national charged with illegal entry into Thailand.
In total, four suspects were arrested and more than 3.1 kilograms of cocaine seized. Police said the operation successfully disrupted a trafficking ring that posed a serious threat to public safety and Thailand’s international image as a tourism destination.
