Two Turkish Men Arrested for Forgery and Overstay in Phuket

Phuket-

Immigration officers at Phuket International Airport have detained two Turkish nationals for using forged entry stamps and overstaying their visas by more than two years.

The Phuket Immigration told the Phuket Express that the arrests occurred at approximately 5:30 p.m.. on Saturday (February 7th). Authorities identified the suspects, both 30 years old, attempting to depart through the international departures hall.

They were charged with “using counterfeit immigration stamps” and “residing in the Kingdom without permission after the expiration of their authorized stay,” with records showing an overstay of 918 days.

The men were transferred to Sakhu Police Station in Phuket for further investigation and legal proceedings. Immigration officials stressed that the arrests show ongoing efforts to combat document forgery and enforce immigration laws, particularly in tourist hubs such as Phuket.
