Phuket –
Swift emergency response and community cooperation ensured the safe rescue of seven people after a boat capsized between Aew Island and Coral Island Sunday morning (February 1st).
The Emergency Medical Call Center (1669) told the Phuket Express that they received a report at 10:28 a.m., from residents near the Banana Beach, south of Phuket, that a vessel had overturned in the waters between the two islands.

Rescue Center, operated by the Phuket Provincial Administrative Organization (PPAO), immediately dispatched a patrol boat to the scene. All seven passengers were safely evacuated from the Coral Island and transported to Chalong Bay without injury.

Officials expressed gratitude to the owner of Banana Beach’s boat, who provided crucial initial assistance before the PPAO patrol vessel arrived to complete the rescue operation.
Thanks to quick coordination and favorable conditions, no casualties or injuries were reported.
