Phuket –
Early voting in Phuket’s Constituency 1 began with strong public participation today, as residents flocked to the Phuket Provincial Administrative Organization (Old Provincial Hall) from the early morning hours of February 1st.
By 7:30 a.m., voters were already lining up to check their names and cast their ballots, creating a lively yet orderly atmosphere that reflected widespread civic engagement.

At 8:00 a.m., Phuket Governor Nirat Phongsittithavorn arrived to exercise his right to vote. He noted the significant turnout, particularly among people whose official residence is outside Phuket but who live or work in the province. The governor expressed optimism that participation would be even higher on the official election day, February 8, 2026.
Governor Nirat also addressed the conduct of election campaigning in the province, stating that it has remained within the boundaries of the law. He pointed out the role of the Election Commission, security agencies, and related authorities in ensuring that the process is fair, transparent, and free from irregularities.

Encouraging citizens to prepare themselves, he urged voters to study the ballot format and voting procedures carefully to avoid mistakes and to cast their votes with intention and responsibility.
In a clear message to the public, Governor Nirat stated:
“Think for yourself, choose for yourself, decide for yourself. Consider the interests of Phuket and the nation as a whole, and let that guide your decision.”
He further pledged to return to the polls on February 8 to demonstrate his commitment to civic duty under Thailand’s democratic system, with the monarchy as head of state.
