Three Bars in Patong Found To Be Unlicensed, Say Officials

Authorities in Kathu District carried out late-night inspections of entertainment venues in Patong, leading to the arrest of three establishments found operating without proper licenses.

Officials from Kathu District Office told the Phuket Express that the operation began on January 29th at 11:30 p.m.. A team inspected venues along Rat-U-Thit 200 Pi Road, a popular nightlife strip in Patong.

Three venues on the Rat-U-Thit 200 Pi Road were found to be unauthorized. The alleged owners were charged with operating an entertainment venue without a license and selling alcohol without authorization.

All suspects were taken to Patong Police Station for further investigation and prosecution under Thai law.
