Police investigators from Patong Police Station, working in coordination with officers from Sakhu Police Station, arrested a Dutch national at Phuket International Airport as he attempted to flee to Bangkok following an assault on a Thai man.
The Patong Police told the Phuket Express that the incident began late on January 25th, 2026, when Patong police received a report of a violent altercation at a Café in Patong. According to witnesses, a Thai man identified as Mr. Anan became involved in a heated argument with a foreigner over a parking dispute. The foreigner left the scene on a motorcycle but returned about ten minutes later with accomplices, who then attacked Mr. Anan before fleeing.

A special investigation team launched a continuous inquiry to track down the suspect. Their efforts identified the assailant only as Mr. Wesley, a Dutch national.
On January 29th, 2026, officers intercepted Mr. Wesley at Phuket International Airport as he prepared to board a flight to Bangkok. He was taken into custody on charges of “assaulting another person” and handed over to Patong Police Station investigators for legal proceedings.
