BMW Crashes into Phuket Convenience Store

Phuket –

A late-night accident in Phuket City left a convenience store badly damaged but, fortunately, caused no injuries.

Police from the Phuket City Police Station told the Phuket Express that fhey received a call just before midnight reporting that a car had slammed into a convenience store near Ban Kuku on the Ratsada Anusorn Road, Rassada.

When officers arrived, they found a bronze BMW sedan with its front half embedded inside the store, headlights still glowing amid shattered glass and broken fixtures. The branch, located on Soi Veerautit, sustained significant damage, though no customers or staff were hurt.

The driver, an unidentified man, told police he had intended to stop in front of the store to buy items. However, instead of pressing the brake, he mistakenly hit the accelerator, propelling the vehicle forward into the shop.

Authorities noted that a concrete barrier in front of the store helped slow the car’s impact, preventing the vehicle from entering completely and reducing the extent of damage.

Police coordinated with a tow service to remove the car and are continuing their investigation to determine liability and proceed according to legal procedures.
