UPDATE: Police Nab Two More Foreigners in Connection to Spa Theft in Phuket

Phuket –

Police in Phuket have arrested two foreign nationals in connection with a theft at a massage shop in the island’s capital, bringing closure to a case that has unsettled local business owners and shown law enforcement’s vigilance in tourist areas.

Our previous story:

Police in Phuket have arrested a 25-year-old German tourist accused of stealing cash and personal items from a local spa, in a case that has drawn attention to law enforcement’s swift response to crimes involving foreign visitors.

The Phuket City Police told the Phuket Express that they continued their pursuit of two remaining suspects, and on January 22nd at 10:30 a.m., a coordinated operation involving Phuket City Police, Tourist Police, and Immigration officers successfully apprehended a German woman and an Austrian man.

Both were detained under arrest warrants issued by the Phuket Provincial Court on charges of “joint theft.”

During questioning, the pair admitted to stealing a pair of flip-flops from the massage spa. They were subsequently transferred to Phuket City Police Station for formal legal proceedings.
