The Phuket Immigration Bureau has revoked the visa of a Saudi Arabian national following an incident of public indecency in Patong, showing Thailand’s strict enforcement of immigration laws in tourist destinations.

Phuket Immigration told the Phuket Express that ln Wednesday (January 7th). Mr. ALMASOUDI, 33, a Saudi Arabian national, was apprehended after engaging in indecent behavior in a public area of Patong. The case was reviewed under Section 36 of the Immigration Act B.E. 2522 (1979), which empowers immigration authorities to withdraw temporary residence permits when foreign nationals commit acts deemed inappropriate or harmful to public order.

Pol. Maj. Gen. Commander of Immigration Division 6 issued Order No. 15/16 on January 6, 2026, formally revoking the individual’s permission to remain in the Kingdom. The decision was communicated to the suspect in accordance with official procedures, using interpreters to ensure clarity in Arabic, English, and Thai.

Following the revocation, the man was transferred to the Immigration Detention Center in Phuket for further processing under Thai immigration law.
