Phuket –
Phuket remains recorded as the highest number of road accidents and injuries nationwide during the New Year holiday period in five days (December 30th, 2025 to January 3rd, 2026).
Between December 30th, 2025, and January 3rd, 2026, the province reported 47 accidents, leaving 51 people injured and 4 dead, according to official figures.
All of the four deaths were males from Myanmar. Of those 51 injuries, 27 were Thais.

Authorities pointed to speeding and drunk driving as the leading risk behaviors. Motorcycles were the vehicles most frequently involved in crashes.
