  1. Cambodian forces intensified their artillery barrage on parts of Thailand’s eastern Sa Kaeo province on Monday, killing one Thai soldier and destroying several civilian village houses, according to Thai military reports.

2. Thailand’s National Security Council (NSC) has approved sending Defence Minister General Nattapol Nakpanich (also known as “Big Lek”) as its representative to sign a Joint Statement with Cambodia on December 27th,, following progress in bilateral talks.

4. A serious traffic accident occurred on North Pattaya Road in Chonburi province on Wednesday morning, when a pickup truck driver lost control and struck a utility pole on the road median.

5. A 34-year-old Thai motorcycle ride-hailing driver surrendered to police after allegedly stabbing a 42-year-old Indian tourist during a private birthday celebration in Pattaya, claiming he was startled by fireworks.
