Phuket –
Border Patrol Police Company 425 seized a large quantity of illegal e‑cigarettes and vape products during a coordinated operation in Phuket on 15 December 2025, leading to the arrest of a 21‑year‑old man suspected of selling untaxed and smuggled goods.
The Narcotics Control Board told the Phuket Express that earlier this week they confiscated a diverse assortment of disposable e‑cigarettes and vape pods believed to have been smuggled into the country without customs clearance or tax payment. The seized items included:
• 20 Salthub 9,000‑puff disposable e‑cigarettes
• 2 Infy 12,000‑puff disposables
• 4 Relx 20,000‑puff disposables
• 2 Zero Pro disposables
• 2 Relx Infinity Plus disposables
• 1 Infy Series disposable
• 4 Eskobar 20,000‑puff disposables
• 3 Joyway disposables
• 3 Switch pods
• 7 Infy Plus pods
• 20 Zero pods
• 4 Marbo Zero pods
• 34 Relx pods

Authorities say the products were intended for illegal sale and had bypassed import restrictions and excise tax requirements. The suspect faces several allegations, including:
• Violating Consumer Protection Board regulations prohibiting the sale of e‑cigarettes and related devices
• Possession and distribution of untaxed or restricted goods
• Concealing or trading goods known to have been smuggled into the country
• Possession of untaxed tobacco products with intent to sell
• Importing tobacco products without authorization
The arrest took place at an unregistered cosmetics shop on Dilok‑Uthit 2 Road in Talat Yai, Phuket Town. Officers transported the suspect and all confiscated items to Phuket City Police Station for further investigation and legal proceedings.
