Man Arrested for Forcing Tourists to Take Photos with Iguana in Patong

Patong –

Officers from Patong Police Station apprehended a man who was reportedly forcing tourists to take photos with his pet iguana, causing disturbance and inconvenience to pedestrians in the area.

Police told the Phuket Express that earlier this week they received the complaint before they went to investigate the scene. The team later located and arrested a Thai man along with the iguana on the sidewalk in front of Banana Walk on Thaweewong Road.

The suspect was taken to Patong Police Station for questioning and legal proceedings. The Phuket Express noted that police did not reveal further details about the suspect.
