Phuket –
Phuket’s provincial administrative task force arrested a male suspect in the early hours of the morning following a targeted raid that uncovered a shotgun, crystal methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia.
The operation was carried out with the special task force to act on intelligence stemming from a prior drug-related arrest. The suspect was apprehended at a designated location and found in possession of:
- One 12-gauge shotgun
- Crystal methamphetamine (Category 1 narcotic), previously consumed
- Smoking apparatus specific to crystal meth use
- Small plastic bags intended for drug distribution
Authorities charged the individual with illegal possession of a firearm and consumption of a Category 1 narcotic. The suspect and all confiscated items were transferred to Kathu Police Station for further legal proceedings at approximately 3:00 a.m.
Officials stated that the operation reflects ongoing efforts to suppress narcotics-related crime and maintain public safety across Phuket.
