Phuket –
Authorities in Phuket have seized more than 2,000 packs of untaxed cigarettes following a coordinated raid on two retail shops in Talat Yai subdistrict, responding to public complaints about illicit tobacco sales.

This week, officers from Mueang Phuket District conducted inspections at two locations suspected of selling contraband cigarettes. The first shop, located on Ong Sim Phai Road, was found in possession of 1,413 packs of untaxed cigarettes along with 11,900 baht in cash. The second shop, situated on Tilok Uthit 2 Road, yielded an additional 622 packs and 6,760 baht in cash.

All individuals involved were taken into custody and handed over to investigators at Mueang Phuket Police Station.
