Indian Man Arrested in Phuket for 107 Day Overstay

Phuket –

Immigration officers in Phuket have apprehended a 38-year-old Indian man for overstaying his visa by 107 days, following a tip-off from concerned residents.

Immigration officers told the Phuket Express that the arrest took place at a luxury condominium in Kathu subdistrict, where the suspect—later identified only as Mr. Tanuj—was found loitering in the lounge area. Officers from Phuket Immigration Division approached the man and requested to inspect his travel documents. Upon review, they discovered that his permitted stay in Thailand had expired over three months ago, with no record of extension or departure.

Mr. Tanuj admitted to remaining in the country beyond the legal limit. Authorities charged him with violating immigration laws under the offense of “being a foreign national who has entered and remained in the Kingdom without valid permission.”

He was taken into custody and transferred to Kamala Police Station for legal proceedings. Immigration officials confirmed that Mr. Tanuj will be deported and blacklisted from re-entering Thailand.
