Man Arrested with Firearms and Over 100 Bullets in Patong Raid

Phuket-

The Patong Police told the Phuket Express that over the past weekend they apprehended a 61-year-old Thai man in possession of two illegal firearms and over 100 rounds of ammunition. The arrest was made at an unregistered residence on Phetkut Road in Patong, Kathu district, under a search warrant issued by the Phuket Provincial Court.

Seized from the suspect were:
• One black homemade long-barreled shotgun
• One silver-black homemade .22 caliber rifle
• Fifty rounds of .22 caliber Sellier & Bellot ammunition
• Fifty-one rounds of 12-gauge shotgun shells

The suspect faces charges of illegal possession of firearms and ammunition without authorization. He and the confiscated items have been handed over to Patong Police investigators for further legal proceedings.
